Ontario Rod & Gun Club
Ontario Rod & Gun Club is a premier range located on 80+ acres in the Town of Ontario, just east of the City of Rochester in the Great Lakes Region of Western New York. The range sits in the rural community, once called the “Town of Freedom,” settled in 1807 on the southern edge of Lake Ontario. It is home to apple orchards, small farms and people who love country life.
ORGC is one of the area’s oldest sport shooting clubs, with a rich history of Civilian Marksman Programs, trap, rifle and fishing interests, dating back to the 1950s. It’s a growing and active club. Our membership is diverse mix of men and women of all ages, professions and socio-economic levels, all of whom enjoy sporting firearms and their Second Amendment Rights. There is something for everyone.
We offer a Youth Program, Tuesday Night Open Trap, Weekly and Monthly USPSA pistol competitions, monthly rifle matches, host the New York State High School Clay Target League, partner with the RIT ROTC AF Cadets, Inland Waters Clay Target League, Ontario Women’s League of Shooters (OWLS), Civilian Marksmanship Program, 3 Gun Nation matches, host hunter safety training and a variety of training programs for firearm enthusiasts, and beautiful, well-kept ranges for members to enjoy.
We have a generous community outreach consisting of annual veterans fundraiser events with 100% of the proceeds going to local veterans.
ORGC is situated on 80+ acres in a agricultural, rural residential area of Ontario, New York.

WOMEN OF ORGC
NOTE: We are in a holding pattern due to the availability of ammunition. Everyone is being cautious of how they use ammunition. We will let you know when we are back in action! Until then, DRY FIRE.
Ontario Women's League of Shooters, or OWLS, is a 'meet up' informal practice session for a select group of women. The goal is to give women a time to practice skills they've learned but have neglected to keep sharp.
To participate you must fall within this guidelines:
ORGC women members only—age 21 and up
Not for people brand new to shooting.
Pistols only at this time.
No extra cost because you are an ORGC member
You must have taken an NRA Pistol Shooting or similar pistol course with proof
You must have taken a range orientation safety course for shooting with groups.
Be able to manage your shooting equipment independently (pistol, ammo, target etc.) So, start thinking about what you learned.
We will have a Chief Range Officers supervising our practice sessions.
Other learning opportunities outside the practice will be available.
Please contact me if you are interested, provide your full name and phone, and the day/time you can fit into your schedule. It going to be fun!
